Hey all. I have a 2021 HD10 Max XMR. Ever since I bought I have had some battery issues. I bought it with a sold roof with stereo/speakers/lights, front light bar, winch, & rear light bar. I have had a peristatic drain somewhere on the bike with all the accessories. I bought a new OEM battery last year and kept it on tender when not riding. I figured I would install a battery kill switch to help with the drain, as that would eliminate everything right? Well, I install the switch, take the tender off and it starts. Ride it up town to get gas and go to start again and it doesnt want to. It barely started. Drove it home, turned it off and it would not turn over at all. The dash shows its charging. Multimeter shows it has 12V. However, I put a load tester on the battery and showed it was "weak" . I am going to upgrade the battery. Ideas, suggestions? Im not sure if I can go fuse by fuse to find the drain as Im not sure where all the wiring is from the accessories.
Can we put a car battery in these machines? I know it may not fit without some trimming, but Im fine with that. Just tired of a dead machine all the time or having to put on a tender every time I stop!
