I took my defender last weekend for the first time after a 50 hour break in and fluid change. I went down to Glade top in SW MO. The defender did wonderful and just crawled up everything just slow and steady. That is the only time I engaged the front axle.. The only bad part was with the HVAC and cab I was the one in the rear the whole time do to the others not wanting to get dusted out.
