I recently purchased a speaker box from Rock’n Radios. The mounting kit for it you have to drill four 1/4” holes through the roof to hold the speakers up. The box with speakers probably weighs a little over 5# If I do decide to mount it this way I was thinking of using some 3/8” flat strap as a backing plate. Any thoughts on mounting it to the roof ?
