Soft Doors & Cab Heater

I have a 22 HD10 that I put soft doors on. When running down the road there is quite an air gap at the top of the driver side  door. This might not be fixable and might be due to a vacuum effect. Or do I bend the top of the metal frame inwards? Will that help? The door is tight at the latch and lower half. 

I want to add a heater, not sure which model to buy. I need a defroster more than anything. I’m looking for one that doesn’t obstruct the space/leg room in the cab like the OEM one does on the limited models. 

Lastly I’m looking at the power windshield from Rough Country on sale now at $799, 1/2 the cost of the OEM model. It looks to be sturdy, but heavy. Advertised as being able to run with it open a little or a lot. Anyone have experience with Rough Country?

i bent my lowers around to get them to fit better.  gotta do what you gotta do on them i feel like.  these frames are mass produced and arent as consistent as youd think so fitment can be tough on them.

Thanks, probably what I’ll be doing. I’m going to go see a canvas guy who makes all manner of things. 
I’m going to see if he couldn’t put in a second window, I.e. cut out the center section and add up/down zippers. Save having to roll up the entire window section as opposed to just the center.

inferno is probably your best bet for heaters as well, as suggested already.

i havent put one in, just know of people who put them in.  they dont have much fun doing it haha.

if you can afford the $1000-1500 to have a dealer put it in, by all means have them do it haha.  its probably most of day job to get done on your own from what ive heard.  i like to know things are done how i want so most accessories i put on myself.

This time I’ll probably check on a cost, but not pay for 8 hours labor?

Might be doing it myself after I solicit the help from my son-in-law whose really handy with tech stuff.

if they havent done one before, i wouldnt mess with having them learn how to do it, thats for sure.  i bet all of 6 hours for an experienced person to do it at a dealer.  like you said, a call will tell you a lot.

Area dealer has done several of them. 4 hours, $420 plus tax. Not bad-

Another cheap option for a heater is the Mr. buddy golf cart heater... fits in the cup holder. Raised the temp in the cab from -15c to +5c pretty quickly. I do have to leave one of the door windows unzipped a little to prevent the windshield from fogging up.

Here is my set up for heat.  It is the Mr. Heater golf cart heater and a cheap fan from Amazon.  I drilled a hole in a sheet of plywood to slip the heater into and screwed the fan down behind it so it can blow towards the windshield.  Clears the windshield right up if it starts to fog.

The plywood basically just sits on the arm rest.  I screwed some pieces to the underside to wedge into the frame on the back wall that holds the back rests.

That’s actually a great idea. I considered using a mr.. heater. Then decided I’d buck up and just spend the money on the inferno heater and installation.

But I was still thinking of keeping this setup around since I can still be heating the cab without the machine running
