max hd 8 problem

My hd8 max wont hardly pull itself. Falls on its face if I accelerate ..Ive changed plugs,pulled fuel pump and cleaned a not dirty fuel screen.

dont know where to go next unless preesure reg and pump is bad maybe> its a 2017

the way it spits and sputters when idling I wouldnt think its a belt

I also got a code that says to lean fuel..probably should have mentioned that... so not enough fuel mixing with air...fuel pump bad? map sensor?

Friend has a HD10 Max. Same exact symptoms as yours. Replaced fuel pump and fixed it!

got new fuel pump today,took about 5 minutes to install. runs like a champ....now if i could figure out how to get that stupid check engine message to disappear

Good to hear that you are up and running, the fuel pump/regulator should put out 51 psi +/- 1 psi, unfortunatley I can't find a code reset procedure for the check engine light so it will probably mean a trip to the dealer to be reset using BUDS.
