We recently bought our third CAN-AM Defender. The first one was an 2021 HD8 MAX Limited that we picked up in 2020. It was blue so we named it Blue. That one was so handy that we both wanted to use it while working on our "Ranch." That lead to Defender number two in October 2023.
That one was for me to use so it was outfitted differently from the 21 Defender. Mine is an Defender Max HD9 and it has been a great addition. This one is camo and the first characters in the VIN are BUBA. So, of course we named this one BUBA.
Back at the end of October 25 we took Blue into the dealer for service. While there we spotted a 2026 HD11 MAX LIMITED. We took it for a test ride and really liked everything about it. It didn't take much thought, but the next day we made a deal to trade in Blue. At the end of the week we went back to the dealer and picked up GUNNER.
The enclosed cab and HVAC really make a big difference in operator comfort. Add to that the glass windshield and wiper and it really seems better.
Our dealer handles both CAN-AM and Polaris. We compared the two side by side and we really liked the CAN-AM better. The driver and rider positions and the controls layout are better in the CAN-AM. Of course we might be a little prejuiced in favor of the Defenders.
Happy to be here and looking forward to learning.
