The reviews are over the top for our Defender dual 12 in under seat sub enclosures as well As the HD 11 singl ,dual or triple sub options. The legendary L7T square subs, (the equivalence of a 13.5 inch round each!) They pair perfectly with our 8 inch Limited door enclosures, where you get a seamless clean factory look that absolutely rips with sealed enclosures and proper airspace for 8 inch drivers that are 2x speaker surface area of 6.5s! You can open the doors and project the full rich sound of 8s out of the vehicle. Our 8 inch kick pods help round out the proper front sound stage. . If you want ¾ of a mile of projection where you can be heard word for word check out our 6 speaker multi directional pods. Projecting up to 130 db forward, down and backward. 130 db is 4x louder than your typical entire roof system out of these little pods. Looking for a massive upgrade in Defender audio? If you already have the JL roof system you are able to create a night and day difference in audio output and sound staging to your existing system. Unfortunately roof systems are dramatically incorrect from a sound staging and physics standpoint. One should never have a speaker 4 inches from your face, this creates a forced mono sound stage. You only see this poor solution in the SXS market. Audio professionals in cars for the last 100 years know better. The problem is one speaker completely dominates due to proximity. It’s like having an amazing home theatre system that you are enjoying from the center of the room with a balanced dynamic sound stage getting up and walking to the front left speaker getting 4 inches away and pointing the top of your head at it. What was an amazing system is now ruined due to proximity, you are hearing 80% of the left signal. Wetbox can help. Adding the newest high performance 8 inch driver in the market to the door positions dramatically helps correct your incorrect sound stage. It also creates dramatically more output outside of the vehicle when the doors are open. It offers mid bass out of the two drivers alone that absolutely blow away the entire roof. We are going to meter the results but would bet that two drivers total in the doors at distance of 25 feet or more away from the vehicle will have at least 4x the output than the entire 6 speakers combined down-firing from the roof.
