Quick question to you other Defender owners. So I’m about to break my first 1000 mi on my ‘18 HD10. The manual calls for full synthetic 75w 90 GL5 for both front and rear differentials. I’m a huge fan of Schaeffer Oil products, and an switching from Can-Am oils. Has anyone tried conventional gear oil or blend in their F/R diffs? What is your feedback if so? Thanks!!

Over the years, having owned motorcycles, snowmobiles, lawnmowers, trucks, cars, and just a few boats... its not the oil that causes engines to lock up, transmissions, drive units, or diffs to fail.. its the lack of oil that causes problems... just remember, that when you go off what's recommended, you may become your own warranty repair depot!

I appreciate the info. I’m not saying CanAm XPS oils are inferior products, but I do believe better options are out there. I was curious if anyone else had tried other products, and with what kind of results. Front and rear differentials specifically. 🤙🏼
