I have a 2022 can am defender limited, and the doors fly open intermittently when the UTV's being trailered, and when I'm driving down the road. A huge safety issue!!

Please advise if you've had this issue, and what was done to fix it.

When I took it in to be repaired, one dealer says it's covered under warranty, but parts are back ordered till September. The other dealer's giving me issues saying the after market light bar I put above the front windshield, and a headache rack in back makes it so there's no warranty for the doors, such Bunk!!!

thank you!!

When I picked up my 2019 Defender Cab the salesman at the dealer ship suggested that the doors be locked for trailering, if you have door locks I would suggest you try locking them, if not you could try loading the Defender backwards to minimize the chance of opening or damage.🙂

Thanks, but there's a warning sticker on the UTV to not back it up to load it on the trailer, because it may cause the windshield to blow out. Also, the doors don't have locks on them.

We installed the soft doors on so e of our defenders and the latch system is terrible and the initial dealer installation crappy. I got it into the shop and spent a few hours with a die grinder, spacers , wrenches, ratchets and colorful language to get a better fit and now they work better but still not perfect and I don't see that it ever will be perfect. Next would be some sort of exterior latch. I load the on backwards, and Crack the tilt windshield, never had a problem.  Let me know what ya come up with. Best. Listodog

Thank you, we will try some of your suggestions. Thank you!
