Defender Max XMR

Looking at a couple of models before purchasing. I am coming from a Honda 450S ATV. I am new to sxs and looking at a Lonestar(no cab) and a XMR with half doors and XMR without doors. I am having trouble deciding if it is worth the extra money to go with the XMR with the doors. Better to buy it with or without and add doors later? Thanks for any thoughts.

I wouldn't waste your money on factory half doors unless you have zero plans to go to a full door.  I went with the Puddle Buster doors that are convertible between half and full.  They are not perfect, but they are one of the cheaper doors and one of the only doors that can be both a half and full door.

you could also get upper half doors for the oem lower half doors.  they are aftermarket but look like nice pieces.  I have debated on them a couple of times when riding in the colder months.

imo like ross said, if you dont plan to replace them, they are worth having on from the factory.  while not hard, they are tedious to build on a 4 seater.
