Defender can dust

Wanting to know if anyone has had problems with dust inside cab?  I have a full cab, but gravel dust covers the whole inside.

i just pulled my coated windshield off..no more dust. but its a crap solution. i added fender flares and a back window and neither helped. next im going to try a vented windshield or pop holes into this stock one...

The back wall has tons of openings where the dust gets sucked in. I used the Kilmat66 insulation and tape to close off all the holes I could, it cut down on a lot of the dust getting inside. You also need to make sure your doors are aligned real well and close up tight.

yes its a crap design. after paying 25k for a rig id expect better.

i have added fender flares and then a solid back glass trying to prevent dust in the cab.

next i tried removing the lower gasket on the front window and pushing the window outwards.

i took the front glass out totally and that solved the dust but then it was like the 6 flags log ride going thru water.

here is my fix to dust in my can-am defender hd10 xt with the stock roof.

loosen the front of the plastic roof from the metal framing it attaches to. put 1" spacers on either side of all the bolts. i used 1"x wood blocks as a test.

tighten the loosened bolts sandwiching the blocks in between the plastic roof and metal frame.

no more dust and you can still run a full windshield.

the only other thing that will fix it is side vents / wing deflectors.

did the spacers help with the clunk/rattle at all.  my roof is extremely loud, not sure if its the mounts or what but it sounds like someone is hitting the cage with a hammer and dinging it like a dinner bell for almost every bump.  thinking about trying to add some foam pipe insulation around all of the tube mounts and hoping that will help.
