??After market stereo installation??

Is it ok to drill four 1/4” holes above the windshield to secure my stereo there? That’s the steel directly above the middle clip for my windshield. I have a defender max.

Are you planning to drill through a plastic roof or the metal bar, not sure what your looking at or the type of machine? If you post a pic someone should be able to give you advice?
