Adding LED light bar

Wanting to add an LED light bar to my front bumper. When I added my winch, I mounted the solenoid under the hood and ran the power cables from the battery up through the dash to it. Rather than running the power cables from the light bar all the way back to the battery, can I connect them to the pos/neg battery cables that I ran to the winch solenoid?
