40 in rigid light bar fuses on bus bar

Having trouble with the fuses on the base bar in the top of the cab. It blew the fuse one time and then I was using tonight and it melted the housing of the fuse holder. Any ideas on why I used the same size fuse and wired light straight into the Buse bar

Was the fuse holder provided with the light kit? If yes than the wire size, the fuse holder and fuse should be correct for the amp draw of the light bar.

If you provided the fuse holder and fuse you may have installed one that is too small for wire size and fuse holder size. Check the amp draw or watts of the light bar in the instructions or possibly printed on the box for eg. if you have 40 led and they are 3 watts you would have 120 watts draw divided by 12 volts would require at least a 10 amp fuse. 

Is  there a chance that when you installed the light bar your wiring is chaffing against a metal hole or steel somewhere that creates occasional contact causing sparks and increasing your amp draw blowing your fuse or holder?
