I recently have the opportunity to purchase a 2018 lone star with 933 miles, full glass windshield and extra storage compartments. Also comes with a 14’ trailer. Their asking price is $19,995. I’m new to the utv’s and was wondering if that's a reasonable price or is it worth less

Not sure on the lonestar... but it seems high. I just bought a 16' flatbed for 1500. So 18k seems a bit high for a 2 year old rig with nearly 1000 miles... IMO... More like 15k total would be more where I'd think is fair... especially with the incentives on the 19's...

Good luck

Thanks for the input. I had been thinking 15,000 just for the rig no trailer

Id definitely try for the trailer too for that price. Pretty sure you can get an HD10 Defender XT full cab for around 19 now... So I guess what is 1000 miles on a rig designed to be ridden hard is worth...  but at 1600 miles now I'm in for a new set of front axles and did an 800 service at 1000 miles/200 hours.... so now we're only talking 2800 difference.... not sure I'd take that bet.... just things to think about....

I purchased an ‘18 lone star with 30 hours and 230 miles on it at Christmas.  Dealer sold it to me for $17,800 so yes I would definitely say that price is quite high

Did it have a warranty with it ?

I purchased a 2020 HD10 XT-P brand new with OEM tip out automotive glass front windshield and it come stock with roof, rock sliders, winch and bolstered seat for less than $19k. I had previously purchased a brand new 6 x 12 trailer made from round pipe instead of angle iron and super nice removable rear ramp for $1100.00. Don't pay that much for a used machine.

Especially with all the kickbacks right now... and financing a new one you'd most likely get a better rate...

Best part??? It's NEVER been RIDEN HARD and PUT AWAY WET.....

What's that worth???? PRICELESS!!!

Thanks for all the input. Offered them $15,000 cash and the reply was price is not negotiable at $19,995 oh well

They will sit on it for that... take them an ad from your dealer showing 20's are going for that.... other than that.... check your local Craigslist for a trailer and the price.... 1500 or so depending.... (flatbed) and then offer the the dealer 18k.... probably get a new one for that 20k total.

Heres a quick search.... A couple other nicer/newer for 2k.... So that being said, they want what they paid for it 2 years ago.... and they put 1000 miles on it... RUN!!! BUY A NEW ONE AND COME HAVE FUN!!!

That seems like a HELL OF A LOT BETTER DEAL THAN THE OTHER!!! I like my shorty.. but a max may be in my future... see if you can get your first service thrown in...

I can purchase a 2020 defender crew max xt or a 2020 Lonestar for about $200 less than the xt. Is there a clear winner or is it just personal preference

Not sure of the differences between them... been super happy with my standard XT... Didnt need the extra seats/length of the max

Does anybody know the difference between the crew max xt seats and the Lonestar seats ? Are the Lonestar seats more thicker and comfortable ? Are the skid plates the same and what are the aluminum rock sliders ?
