2016 can-am defender xt will only start when I spray a bit on either in breather than quits

Welcome. Can you hear the fuel pump run when you turn the key to ON? How much fuel in the tank?

When you turn the key to "on" you should hear the fuel pump come on for about 2 secs, if no check F5 fuse under the front hood it is a 10 Amp, replace if blown, if this corrects the problem good if not you will probably need to replace the fuel pump or find out why it doesn't come on when you turn the key on?
