Experienced same issue. Showed dealer, they replaced front diff. No more noise. (But front diff also had issue with visco lok not engaging and making noise.
Well, so far the replacement visco loc is working, so lets see how it goes from here. My dealership has been fantastic about getting it done and not fighting me on the issues. Some/a lot are not that easy to deal with.
Got the buggy back (quick turnaround-only a day to swap it out once they got the part). Will go test this weekend. I will most likely get the halo locker once the warranty runs out -depending on the durability of the replacement visco-lok.
I wouldn’t worry about engine damage. But sadly, if the fuses were wrong, what else could be put in wrong? See what the dealer will do to ‘go over’ your machine. After that, learn to go thru it and verify fuses, fluids etc….
Yeah, SATV a pin locker like the HALO. Where is the SATV locker made? I would sway to the HALO for the fact that they are USA made.
Side note…..my other Yamaha Viking is a solid locker, my 2000 TJ has ARB lockers and the Polaris Ranger has the cage locker-but total front diff lock. I read...
