Most likely a broken reverse chain inside the transmission.

I do work on "stuff" and Can Am has plenty of problems as do all SxS manufacturers.

2020 Defender 6x6 overheating due to coolant not circulating. Figured it was an air pocket in the system but it turns out the water pump drive gears are stripped.

Not difficult but time consuming, 6-8 hours.

Replaced a broken reverse chain on a 2022 HD10 Max. Why is Can Am using reverse chains? It's seems like they would have learned from Polaris who switched from chains to geared reverse.
