    Axel question

I forgot to mention that you can check the large end of the axle next to the diff; it should be almost touching the diff housing and should not be moving at all, if this space opens and closes when you pull/push on the axle than you either have a problem with the C clip inside the housing or the...

    Axel question

The diff end of the stock axle should push in by hand fairly hard and should be held in place with a C clip, I don't believe mine had any movement once in place. The HD axles have a double plunge design and they will have movement which allows the axle to drop lower without binding the cv joint. :)

    Voltage Drain

If you or your dealer can check to see if the charging voltage is 13.6 to 14.4 when the engine is running than your stator is charging as designed. The problem seems to be that you are drawing more current when plowing than your stator can put out at the RPM you are plowing at. The stator puts...

    Electrical Problem

There is a fusible link that protects Fuse box 1 under the dash and Fuse box 2 by the battery, I haven't looked for it but it may be a red/green heavy wire that was blown?(in the battery area) It should be evident and especially if no power to either fuse box?

    Which model is the quietest?

Have a look at the Defender garage/builds section for ideas on how to add additional sound deadening to the cab if its not quiet enough. My 2019 came without any sound deading and it is what it is. As far as reliability mine is not a high miler but it has never been back to the dealer. Forums...

    Power window issue ...

Just this fall the window switches on my 2019 Defender XT Cab started getting intermittent to the point I wasn't sure they would close. Pop the switch out of the arm rest, unplug from the plug and carefully dissasemble the switch. Each of the 3 switches were mechanically fine but the contacts...

2019 Defender XT HD10 Cab repair Pinlocker front Diff.

I installed the Pinlocker front diff on Aug 18, 2020 and have not put on very many miles since so instead of updating an older thread I thought I would post a new one. Back in the foothills this fall; driving some cutlines that cross muskegs and pot holes I came to a Muskeg area that I had to...

    Enclosed Trailer minimum height?

My cargo hauler has an 82" H and an 86" wide door with the fender flares inside the trailer. My defender is about 64" wide so it fits between the fender flares and just allows me to squeeze out the door if I run the Defender in next to the right side fender. Its 18' long plus a 4' V nose so lots...

    Enclosed Trailer minimum height?

I have a 2019 Defender XT HD10 Cab with a 2" bracket lift and 30" Cryptid tires with the springs up to max and it clears my 82" door. If you are as tall as you say you may need to take the Defender down to a trailer dealer and try it to make sure.
