My SWAG is that your S3 springs have raised the ride height to where the angle on your CV joints is excessive (more than the CV were designed for) and the excessive angle is causing the inner CV joints to bind slightly when running generating the excess heat.🤔

I believe the bus bar under the dash supplies voltage/current to your dash and overhead switches. The fuse box under the hood is referred to as Fuse box 1 and the one under the rear seat is called Fuse box 2. Your engine is supplied from Fuse box 2 so start there and start checking for voltage...

That's a tough one; I think you need to start with a voltmeter and check the battery voltage after sitting overnight. The voltage should be at 12.6 to 12.8 volts. If the voltage is in the range check the cranking voltage of the battery while the starter is turning the engine over it shouldn't...

You can walk on muskeg but there are places where it has weak spots that will support you but not a quad or a sxs.😉
